Boost for Highlanders as players return

The Highlanders Camp have been boosted by the availability of their stars who were with the Young Warriors at the All Africa Games.

Joint Premiership top scorer Knox Mutizwa will be hoping to bang more goals as he fights for the golden boot. Mutizwa is tied with Chicken Inn’s striker Edmore Chirambadare with both players on 10 goals.

Mtizwa arrived back home with Bosso teammates Nqobizitha Masuku and Teenage Hadebe from Congo-Brazzaville, where they were on national duty with the Under-23 for the African Games.

Speaking to the Sourthen Eye, Mutizwa says he hopes to continue with his goal scoring form.

“I hope I will pick up where I left by scoring when we take on Caps United. Hopefully with my colleagues Hadebe and Masuku, we will bring change and better fortunes for Highlanders. I am not under pressure from Chirambadare for the top goal scorer’s award. We have scored 10 goals apiece, but if you look at it, he has played more games than me,” Mtizwa said.

Highlanders takes on Caps United in their next encounter  at the giant National Sports Stadium.
