Championship winning coach with Chicken Inn, Joey Antipas has expresed his desire to coach Bulawayo giants Highlanders if given a chance.
Antipas managed to claim his second Championship medal after having led Motor Action to glory back in 2010.
The shrewed gaffer feels given a chance he would take the opportunity of being in charge of a big team in the form of Highlanders.
Speaking in an exclusive interview with The Chronicle, Antipas feels the biggest obstacle will be the fact that he is taking charge of Chicken Inn in the CAF Champions League.
“Like any coach, I dream of coaching a big club and in this instance there are two big clubs in Zimbabwe, Dynamos and Highlanders. The only problem with coaching big teams is lack of patience from the leadership of those clubs.
“I would choose Bosso over DeMbare and if the deal is right, I would join Highlanders,” Antipas said.
Antipas also says he is chaffed by Bosso’s rebuilding phase and the presence of youngsters and that if he is given a chance the fans and the admin must givet him time lioke he got at Chicken Inn.
The remarks comes at a time Highlanders are currently looking for a coach since the sacking of Bongani Mafu.
Bosso is currently under the guidance of Amini Soma Phiri and Cosmas Zulu who have managed to pull them out of relegation to a respectable 6th position on the log standings. They are also in line for silverware as they are set to play Dynamos in Netone Cup semifinal over the weekend.
