Ugandan coach Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredojevic has tipped the Warriors to make it to the AFCON 2017 finals.
The Warriors largely second string side beat Uganda 2-0 courtesy of headed goals by defender Teenage Hadebe at Rufaro Stadium in an international friendly match.
In an interview with the Herald, Micho said Pasuwa has a good team at his disposal that should see off the remaining qualifiers.
“Zimbabwe team is a group of great individuals that are coached by my very good friend Callisto Pasuwa. It’s a great team that deservedly has a great chance to go to the Africa Cup of Nations.” Said Micho.
Zimbabwe last encountered Uganda in a group match at CHAN 2016 finals earlier this year and the coach who is preparing to meet Botswana over the weekend in an AFCON qualifier said he hopes his side will also progress at the finals.
“I wish our next challenge and our next match comes at the Africa Cup of Nations. All the best to Zimbabwe,” added Micho.
