Two first half strikes by Cleopas Kapupurike and Philip Marufu was all Chapungu needed to beat Harare City 2-1 in a Matchday 23 encounter of the Castle Lager Premiership.
The win ensured that the airmen break a 6 year winless streak to beat the Sunshine boys for the first time since Harare City promotion in top flight League in 2011.
It was a game of two halves with Chapungu bossing and dominating the first half and were duly rewarded with two goals in the first half.
Harare City came back stronger in the second half but squandered a lot of chances only managing to slot one by Chipangura. It however was not enough as Chapungu held on to a win.
The win takes them to position 9 on the Latest Log Standings with 30 points while Harare City remain on 6th two points ahead of Chapungu.
