Polokwane City captain Jabulani Maluleke has come to the defence of teammate Walter Musona amidst pressure for the youngster to emulate older brother Knowledge Musona.
Knowledge Musona flourished in South Africa while playing for Kaizer Chiefs scoring plenty of goals for the Amakhosi outfit.
Speaking to KickOff, Maluleke says Walter is a good player in his own right and people should allow him to play his normal game without comparing him to Knowledge.
“That’s the part we have to understand because now people are comparing him to his brother. That’s the pressure they have been giving to the boy. But I spoke to him [and told him] to relax and enjoy his football.” Said Maluleke.
The 21 year old Walter Musona appear to be settling well at Polokwane having acquired 3 starts and scoring 1 goal in the process since joining the club.
“He [Walter] is a brilliant boy. He has got some nice touches,” Maluleke added.
