2019 AFCON qualifier: CAF appoints Ugandan referees for Zimbabwe vs Liberia

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has appointed Ugandan referee Alex Muhabi to officiate the opening 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying match between Zimbabwe and Liberia in Harare.

Muhambi will be assisted by compatriots Mark Ssonko and Musa Balikowa, with Mashood Ssali as the fourth official.

The match will be played at the National Sports Stadium on June 11, as the race to qualify for Cameroon 2019 kicks off.

DR Congo and Congo Brazaville are the other teams in Group L and only the group winners are guaranteed slots at the finals.
