Kundai Benyu has got off to an impressive start – scoring his debut goal for the club in a development game against East Kilbride.

The Zimbabwean young midfielder registered his first goal for Celtics in a 3-1 win over Kilbrite.

The 19-year-old fired to double the lead for the home side in the 58th minute of the game after Mark Hill had opened scoring.

Kieran Gibbons scored with a stunning strike to get EK back into it, but Thomas Caffrey’s late solo effort sealed the win for the Hoops.

The England born youngster who has indicated desire to dorn the Warriors shirt impressed his coaches and it will be sooner that he expected to join the senior men team in preperation for the new season.

The 19-year-old midfielder has won the full confidence of Coach Tommy McIntyre and is also becoming a favorite of the green and white fans.

Benyu was signed for the club from Ipswich last week.
