Black Rhinos captain Bruce Homora believes the football gods have deserted them after losing their fifth straight match against Chicken Inn at Rufaro stadium Saturday.
Despite putting up their best performance in the last matches,Lady Luck was not on their side as Rhinos fluffed a number of chances in a match in which they could have grabbed at least a draw but ended up losing 1-0.
” The football gods have forsaken us because we are doing everything good but still can’t win. We just hope that we will get back to winning ways,” said Homora.
Rhinos coach Stanford ‘Stix’ Mutizwa weighed in saying that the team is going through a dry phase but is working on stopping the free fall.
” We are not panicking yet because this happens in football where you go through such a bad spell. I am pleased that we are now creating chances and will soon be able to score. We will continue working hard so that we start winning,” said Mutizwa.
Rhinos who topped the log standings on some occasions during the first half of the season have been on a free fall in the last five games failing to garner even a point.
Chipembere’s last win was in July against Tsholotsho in which they won 3-0. Their next assignment is up against title chasers FC Platinum away at Mandava stadium.
