In form Dynamos striker Christian Epoupa did not train on Thursday ahead of the crucial Harare derby against Caps United this weekend with coach Lloyd Mutasa claiming The Cameroonian has been given a rest.
Epoupa is one of the leading lights at DeMbare together with captain Ocean Mushure and has been linked with a move to South Africa with Ajax Cape Town being one of the possible destinations.
Mutasa could not be drawn into saying why Epoupa was not at training only saying the big striker needed a rest.
” There are some players who have been playing all the games and need a rest,” said Mutasa.
Surprisingly Epoupa was given a leave during the mid season break and was allowed to return home to Cameroon.
The former Cameroon U23 striker has been in irresistible form scoring crucial goals for Dynamos which has seen him attract attention of South African clubs.
Epoupa scored the cushioning goal in the 2-0 win over Yadah last weekend after Mushure had put DeMbare ahead in the first half.
