Caps United Not Amused By Their Position

Caps United find themselves stuck in an unfamiliar territory in the bottom half of the log standings as the games in hand which gave them false comfort are slowly slipping away without tangible harvest of points.

Caps United still smarting from a 2-0 defeat to Dynamos in one of the catch up matches had to come from behind to force 1-1 all draw against Bulawayo City on Wednesday.

” We don’t belong in the position where we are . There statistics are for everyone to see, we don’t want to shoot far otherwise we slip,” said Caps assistant coach Mark Mathe.

” Our main objective at the moment is crawling up the ladder. We are taking game by game and our next objective is the Bantu Rovers game,”.

Caps United accumulated a backlog of games due to their participation in the African champions league, but has been dismal in the trying to catch up with the leading pack.

Despite a mini resurgence that saw them beat FC Platinum, Ngezi Platinum and Black Rhinos, they stuttered away to Chapungu playing a goalless draw before deflating in the 2-0 defeat to Dynamos over the weekend.

In fact the defending champions have not been convincing outside Harare failing to get a win so far, drawing against Ngezi Platinum, Tsholotsho, Chapungu and lately Bulawayo City.

Caps United are now on 29 points, a massive 22 points behind log leaders Chicken Inn.

They returned to Bulawayo again this weekend to play against basement side Bantu Rovers.
