The Golden Arrows duo of Kudakwashe Mahachi and Knox Mutizwa scored in their team’s emphatic 4-1 triumph over Amazulu. Mutizwa had came in as a substitute in the 77th minute mark. He scored his first goal of the season in the added time while Mahachi was on target two minutes earlier. This became Mahachi’s second goal in this campaign.

On the other hand, Amazulu’s Ovidy Karuru had a descent first half but his contribution couldn’t do much to help his team grab at least a point in the encounter when they conceded three goals in the second half. He assisted Usuthu’s equalizer in the first half when he crossed a freekick which was converted by Ouro-Akoriko. Karura was latter substituted in the 78th minute.

Baroka FC’s Talent Chawapiwa could become a first team regular when he made his fourth consecutive league appearance for the Limpopo based side on Saturday. The former FC Platinum playmaker, however, couldn’t finish the match as he was replaced eight minutes in to the second half.

Evans Rusike continued with his fine form when he featured for Maritzburg in a goalless draw against Orlando Pirates. Though the stocky striker didn’t score, his efforts were constantly denied through out the game. His first real chance came on towards the half hour mark but his long range shot was superbly saved by the goalkeeper.

It was another frustrating outing for goalkeeper George Chigova as his team lost 2-0 away to Ajax Cape Town. The giant goalkeeper has now conceded five goals in four matches.His goalkeeping mistake in the 70th minute resulted in Ajax breaking the deadlock. However it is his defense sometimes that let him down. Meanwhile fellow teammate, Walter Musona tried to get his team back in to the groove with several attacks but his first real chance on goal was denied by the goalkeeper with four minutes to play.

Willard Katsande also had a frustrating game at home in a 1-1 draw against Bidvest Wits. Though he commanded the midfield as usual, he was booked in the 86th minute. His team conceded in the additional time after Siphiwe Tshabalala scored in the 56th minute

Meanwhile, Mamelodi Sundowns dropped Khama Billiat in their CAF Champions League quarter final clash against Waydad Casablanca at home. Billiat failed to recover in time from the hip injury he sustained.
