Akbay still not happy with Highlanders

Highlanders coach Erol Akbay was again left disappointed with his team after they failed to score in a goalless draw against Bantu Rovers.

Bosso had the upper hand in ball position but failed to found the back of the net. They never made serious attempts on goal and their target man up-front Gabriel Nyoni was tightly monitored by an 18 year old Nyasha Garayi.

The Dutchman bemoaned their lack to score after dominating ball position.

“First half was okay, but we controlled the ball too much and ran with the ball a lot. We had lots of energy, but lots of energy without goals is meaningless,” said Akbay in an interview with the Chronicle.

Highlanders now have seven matches without a win. They are currently on tenth position on table and will play away to Chicken Inn on Sunday.
