Mutasa defends his players after Shabanie draw

Dynamos coach Lloyd Mutasa believes his youthful side gave a good account of themselves in their 1-1 draw against Shabanie Mine at Maglas Stadium on Thursday.

The Glamour Boys let slip a one goal advantage in the final minutes of the game. Ocean Mushure scored the opener just after five minutes of play through a freekick but Wilson Mupasiri equalised for Shabanie in the 87th minute.

During the encounter, their lack of mental strength was exposed even though Mutasa is thinking otherwise. He refused to blame his charges  and said that they gave their best during the encounter.

“Yes,we conceded a soft goal but such is football. I don’t take anything away from the youngsters, they gave it their all from the onset,” said Mutasa defending his players.

“Its thumbs up. I think they are showing the spirit and the character that we need as Dynamos. They are great fighters and I hope one day it will come right.”

The Harare Giants have now gone for three consecutive games without registering a victory. They are currently on top of the table with 53 points, one point more than second placed Ngezi Platinum Stars.
