KV Oostende secures first win of the season against Kortrijk

Away at Kortrijk, Knowledge Musona’s KV Oostende picked its first win of the season courtesy of a 2-1 win.

Abdul Ajagun put Kortrijk in the lead with one of the rare chances on the stroke of halftime. Oostende turned up the pressure in the second half, and were rewarded by Franck Berrier who scored to level matters in the 59th minute. Zinho Gano made 1-2 in the 74th minute and secured the three points.

Musona played the whole match. The first win of the season did not seem far away after Kristof D’Haene was shown red card as frustrated opponents became physical towards the end of the game.

It has been a frustrating spell for KV Oostende who will be hoping to start a better series after having gone 8 matches without a win. The win moved them one point from bottom.
