Shabanie Mine remain in relagation, fourth from the bottom of the table despite Mupasiri’s equaliser on the hour to draw 1-1 with title chasers Chicken Inn.

Chicken Inn started the game lively creating the openning chances of the game.

Both teams endured a frustrating afternoon as they will see it as dropped two vital points in the Chicken Inn’s title race while Shabanie in their fight against relegation.

Shabanie had plenty of the ball but Mupasiri and Shabanie frontline was well shackled by the visiting defence – and the maverick striker won his side a series of free-kicks in dangerous areas that they failed to make the most of.

Passmore Bernard put Chicken ahead on 32 minutes when his strike was too hot to handle for Shabanie Mine goalkeeper.

Farai Mupasiri equalised with a cracker from the edge of the box in the 62nd minute, rifling home into a free kick to the top corner.

The draw means Chicken Inn stay fourth – a point behind Nbezi Platinum and four off leaders Dynamos, but the three now have a game in hand in a four-way tussle for the title.
