Chapungu Holds Our Keys To The Title: Ndiraya

Tonderai Ndiraya reckons that a victory over Chapungu will further enhance Ngezi Platinum’s chances of winning the league title.

Ngezi Platinum who won the league’s premier knock out tournament the Chibuku Super Cup in their debut season last year, are just a point behind leaders Dynamos and a win over Chapungu will further brighten their hopes of a maiden league title two years into the top flight league.

“This is one match that we should win judging by our form at the moment. We are up against teams that we beat in the reverse fixtures and we should be able to do the same again against Chapungu. Once we win this match it’s going to be easier for us in the remaining fixtures because we would have managed to maintain our rhythm, “ said Ndiraya.

“The big motivation is the point difference we have against the team that is at the top. Actually all the top three teams can win it and it’s unlikely that the fourth team will come and win it. Another good thing is that we are going to play all the other teams in the title race,” added Ndiraya.

Ngezi Platinum are buoyed by the fact that they are still to lose a match against Chapungu in three meetings with the encounter at Ascot stadium last season ending in a 1-1 stalemate.
