Mamelodi Sundowns’ injury-prone striker Cuthbert Malajila could be sidelined for a long time due to a knee injury.
The 31-year-old, who has just returned to Sundowns from a loan spell with Bidvest Wits suffered a knee ligament problem, coach Pitso Mosimane has said.
“He could take up to weeks to recover, his injury looks bad,” said Mosimane speaking to reporters.
Malajila clashed with Kaizer Chief’s goalkeeper Itumeleng Khune upon entry as an 83rd minute substitute in a 1 nil loss. He recently received his South African permanent residential permit and made his debut for Mamelodi Sundowns on 1st October against Platinum Stars.
