Castle Lager Premier Soccer League champions FC Platinum will know their opponents in the 2018 CAF Champions League season when the draw is conducted today in Egypt.

Pure Platinum Play are the country’s only confirmed representatives in Africa after Harare City who won the 2017 Chibuku Super Cup pulled out of CAF Confederation Cup.

The top ranked nations in terms of club continental performances have two representatives. These include  Algeria, Congo Brazzaville, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Egypt, the Ivory Coast, Mali, Morocco, Nigeria, South Africa, Sudan, Zambia and Tunisia.

The ranking is based on the results of their clubs in the two competitions over the past five years.

The preliminary round will be played on February 9-11 and 16-18 while the first round is scheduled for March 9-11 and 16-18. Group stages will start in early May with a single round, followed by a two month break, before resuming in late July according to the new calendar.
