Luke “Vahombe” Masomere has resurfaced at Eastern Region Division One side Manica Diamond FC, where he has signed a one-year renewable contract.
The newly formed Mutare-based club is owned by Zimbabwe Consolidated Diamond Company (ZCDC).
The self-proclaimed Doctor of Football spent a year on hiatus after his short stint with Beit Bridge side, Border Strikers ended with the team’s relegation in 2016.
The nomadic coach also coached Dynamos, How Mine, Shabanie Mine, Masvingo United, CAPS United and other premiership clubs. He won the championship with Amazulu in 2003.
Masomere also took charge of the national team between 2008 and 2009 while he had a stint in Botswana at Gaborone, Nico United and Notwane.
