FC Platinum Snaps Up Mukombwe

FC Platinum have signed right-back Jameson Mukombwe on a one-year loan contract from Black Rhinos as they seek to strengthen their team for the African champions league.

The versatile player who can also play in the midfield has been one of the star players in the league this past season despite missing out on the best 11, as he had 19 assists and two goals.

Mukombwe seems to be a favourite of Mapeza having tried to snap him at the start of 2017 season. Mapeza also included Mukombwe in his squad for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Liberia early this year.

The league champions have been busy on the market beefing up their squad with the acquisition of Liberty Chakoroma from Ngezi Platinum, Never Tigere from ZPC Kariba, former Bantu Rovers midfielder Kelvin Madzongwe who was unattached.

FC Platinum will face Angolan side Primeiro Agosto in the preliminary round of the African champions league and should they triumph, they will play against Bidvest Wits of South Africa or Pamplemousses of Mauritius.
