Triangle FC gave head coach Taurai Mangwiro a fitting birthday present on Sunday when the Sugar Boys held off a tough Caps United side 2-1.
The win more importantly helped Triangle zero in on the first Four berth in the title chasing teams.
Mangwiro however, isn’t fond of making any birthday bash and his 48th birthday seems like another day at the office.
The Sugar boys, however, surely gave Mangwiro something to cherish on his special day by overcoming the Green Machine.
“The players worked very well against a well-organised CAPS United. It’s a sweet win for us as it was not an easy match.
“It’s a perfect birthday present for me from my boys and I can’t ask for more. They worked very hard against a well-organised team, we need to be dominant at home and work very hard when playing away,” Mangwiro told the Herald.
Lameck Nhamo grabbed a last minute winner after Trevor Mavhunga’s opening goal was cancelled by Joel Ngodzo.
