Ngezi Platinum coach Tonderai Ndiraya on meeting Bulawayo City

Ngezi Platinum coach Tonderayi Ndiraya has warned his side not to underrate relegation threatened side Bulawayo City as they continue their quest to land the 2018 Castle Lager Premiership title.

The Madamburo outfit will host Bulawayo City at their fortress hoping to collect maximum points and maintain pressure while sitting at the summit of the log.

Ngezi Platinum still unbeaten this season currently sit in top place on the log table with 29 points, three points ahead of Zvishavane-based platinum miners FC Platinum with 11 matches played so far.

Bulawayo sit in relegation zone with only 10 points with new coach Amini Soma Phiri trying to move the team away from the dropzone.

In an interview with the Chronicle, Ngezi Platinum coach Tonderayi Ndiraya said his team will focus on nothing but three points taking the game serious noting that they have been losing points against the ‘small teams’.

“All the games are difficult for us. In fact, it’s actually easier to play the big teams than the smaller teams obviously because of the mentality which tends to creep into players.

“When we play the so-called small teams we tend to relax and become overconfident and sometimes we drop points. If you look at the games we played last year we also dropped points against small teams.” Said Ndiraya.
