Baroka FC winger Talent Chawapiwa has been linked with two ABSA Premiership giants.
According to Isolezwe, a South African Zulu newspaper, Mamelodi Sundowns and Kaizer Chiefs have reportedly expressed their interest in the player.
The Zimbabwe international joined the Limpopo-based side in June last year and quickly became a first-team regular.
“Sundowns and Chiefs have already contacted his agent, Mike Ngobeni,” a source told the newspaper.
“They are both interested in the player. He is still contracted to Baroka, but Khurishi Mphahlele (Baroka chairman) is open to selling him if a right offer comes along.”
The player’s agent Mike Ngobeni confirmed the enquiries, but could not divulge the names of the clubs interested in his client.
“Talent is a Baroka player, so if teams are interested in him, then they must contact Baroka. I can’t comment on which team is interested in him,” said Ngobeni.
The 25-year-old winger played in 29 matches in all competitions, scoring once and assisting five goals.
