As the 2018 harmonized elections fever grips, at a Rally held in Mahusekwa Growth Point in Marondera, the MDC Alliance Presidential candidate Nelson Chamisa has promised to bring major world tournaments like the World Cup and the Olympics to Zimbabwe once voted into power.

Chamisa was quoted by ZBC newsonline saying: “If you give me the mandate, Zimbabwe will be a shining example in sports. I will make sure the country hosts the Olympic Games and the World Cup,” he said.

Chamisa seeks to end Zanu PF’s strong 38 year rule squaring off against Emmerson Mnangagwa. Chamisa said he would give Zanu PF a good run in the next elections which the opposition was sure to win.
