Arsenal manager Unai Emery says Arsenal will stand in Ozil’s corner and the Arsenal family will support Mesut Ozil after midfielder’s international.
The 29 year old quit international football citing racism and disrespect following German’s early exit at yhe FIFA World Cup.
Speaking to the media on Wednesday before the start of a training session at the Singapore American School,ahead of tomorrow’s friendly against Atletico Madrid, Emery said the 29-year-old has been training well and that he expects Ozil to be one of the Gunners’ key men for the season ahead.
Emery said: “All of us want to help Mesut feel like it is his home here with us, like a family and it is a family for every player.
“He feels here with us that he can work every day, and it is good for us that he decided to come here and work with us before our two matches.”
