FC Platinum coach Norman Mapeza has welcomed the outcome of the CAF Champions League group stage draw saying it gives his club some experience.
The Zimbabwe champions who are in this phase of the tournament for the first time, are up against holders Esperance of Tunisia, Horoya of Guinea and 1995 champions Orlando Pirates of South Africa.
“This is a good draw for us, it gives us the experience. We just need to work hard and see how it goes. But it’s good for our experience,” said Mapeza.
FC Platinum will start off the phase by hosting Pirates on the weekend of 11-13 January. The platinum miners reached the group stages after knocking out Otoho D’oyo of Congo in the first round.
