Leyton Orient striker Macauley Bonne started his new year on a high note, scoring the only goal of the match for his side on Tuesday against Dagenham & Redbridge as they moved four points clear on the top.
Bonne hit the target a few moments after the half-hour mark, heading home from a tight angle.
The Zimbabwe international remains on top of the National League scoring chart now with 19 goals.
His performances of late have attracted interest from top clubs in the UK and with this scoring rate, he will surpass the 25-goal mark he set last season, before this term ends.
After Tuesday’s match, Leyton Orient now have 18 games left in this campaign.
