Sadio Mane on verge of Bayern exit as negotiations with interested club begin

Sadio Mane could be on his way out at Bayern Munich after starting negotiations with Saudi side Al Nassr.

The Senegalese star’s future in Bavaria is shrouded in uncertainty as the Bundesliga champions wants to sell him.

According to The Athletic, a representative from the Roof agency, which looks after Mane, met Al Nassr sporting director Goran Vucevic at the Pine Cliffs hotel in Portugal to discuss the potential switch.

The 31-year-old moved to Germany last year from Liverpool but battled for consistency in his first season.

Mane’s position within the squad was also thrown in further doubt towards the end of last season after he was suspended by Bayern for punching his teammate Leroy Sane.

Meanwhile, Al-Nassr are now in negotiations to have a transfer ban lifted in order to complete the Mane’s deal.

The Saudi Pro League side, who signed Cristiano Ronaldo last December, have been active in this transfer window by bringing in Seko Fofana from Lens for €25m (£21.5m) and Marcelo Brozovic from Inter for €18m (£15.5m).
