Highlanders have issued a statement following the raid on their offices by the Zimbabwe Anti-Corruption Commission (ZACC) on Thursday.

ZACC is understood to be investigating the alleged misuse of funds, including transfer fees and other possible misconduct by club officials.

The raid comes three months after the club reportedly launched an investigation into its former Chief Executive Officer, Brian Moyo, who was accused of defrauding the club of approximately US$5,000.

In their statement, however, Highlanders denied that they had reported any case to the police or ZACC in connection with the alleged corruption scandal.

The club stated:

1.Highlanders Football Club has not made any report to ZACC, the Zimbabwe Republic Police(ZRP) or any other investigative body.
