Magesi FC goalkeeper Elvis Chipezeze has described winning the Carling Knockout Cup Player of the Tournament award as a special moment in his career.
The Zimbabwean international had an impressive campaign in the competition, collecting several Man of the Match accolades along the way.
He beat competition from his club teammate Edmore Chirambadare and Mamelodi Sundowns striker Iqraam Rayners to claim the award.
Reflecting on the achievement, Chipezeze said:
“It’s special, you know, it’s special. I’m excited but the work continues because now it’s going to be our second season in the division and consistency is key. We just have to make sure that we pick up from where we left off because the target is to stay in the division.
“That also comes with hard work. We’re optimistic about what lies ahead and with the new group, we just have to keep on pushing and pushing.”
