Former Dynamos captain Angirai Chapo has died.

Details surrounding Chapo’s death are still unclear, but his former club, Dynamos, confirmed the news in a post on Facebook.

The club said: “Dynamos Football Club would like to express its heartfelt condolences to the Chapo family, Dynamos supporters, friends, and the entire Zimbabwean football fraternity on the passing of our former captain, Angirayi ‘The Durawall’ Chapo. Legends do not die, they rest. Rest easy, skipper.”

Chapo played for Dynamos in the 1980s and 1990s and was also part of the Warriors squad during that period.
