The Premier Soccer League (PSL) has handed Yadah FC official Spencer Muvadi a one-year ban from all football-related activities and attending league matches.

The sanction follows an incident on August 22 at Heart Stadium, where Muvadi assaulted goalkeeper Godknows Gurure after a league match against Ngezi Platinum Stars.

Both Muvadi and Yadah FC were charged over the incident, and the PSL has now issued its verdict.

In a statement, the League said: “Mr Muvadi was found guilty of breaching the PSL Rules and Regulations and the Committee has imposed a fine of $4,000 (Four Thousand Dollars), together with the costs of the hearing.

“In addition, Muvadi has been banned for a period of one year from conducting football business for Yadah FC or any other club participating in the Premier Soccer League, including holding any official position. He was further barred from attending any matches under the jurisdiction of the Premier Soccer League for the same period. These sanctions are effective immediately.

“Yadah FC were also found guilty of contravening the PSL Rules & Regulations and were fined a sum of $5,000 (Five Thousand Dollars) together with the costs of the hearing, which must be paid within fifteen days from the date of the judgment.

“The Premier Soccer League reiterates its commitment to upholding discipline, protecting the integrity of the game and promoting a safe and professional environment for all participants.”
