Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA) president Nqobile Magwizi has appealed to supporters to avoid creating divisions following the Warriors’ recent struggles.
The national team has managed just one win in their last ten matches across all competitions. Their poor run of form saw them eliminated from the 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers without registering a single victory, with two matches still to play.
Frustrated fans have since protested, with some demanding changes to the technical team.
Addressing the media on Tuesday, Magwizi urged patience and unity:
“To our fans, we say: your passion is not taken for granted. We hear you. We respect you. We ask you to stand with us and with the Warriors. Division will not take us forward — unity, patience, and collective effort will.
“Zimbabwean football has risen before, and it will rise again. With unity, discipline, and belief, we shall restore the pride of our game.”
The Warriors will wrap up their 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers campaign with back-to-back matches — against South Africa at Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban on 10 October, and three days later against Lesotho at Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane.
