Zimbabwe internationals Marshall Munetsi and Tawanda Chirewa both featured as Wolverhampton Wanderers began their pre-season programme with a goalless draw against Portuguese side Estoril on Saturday.
The behind-closed-doors friendly was played during Wolves’ training camp in Portugal, with new coach Cesar Peixoto using the fixture to assess his squad ahead of the new campaign.
Both Munetsi and Chirewa started the encounter and played until the 60th minute.
Zimbabwean prospect Leon Chiwome was introduced from the bench in the second half as Peixoto rotated his squad.
Wolves enjoyed spells of possession and created chances at their training camp in Portugal but were unable to break down Estoril, with the match ending 0-0.
The fixture formed part of Wolves’ preparations for the 2026/27 season.
