Highlanders coach Benjani Mwaruwari has dismissed reports linking midfielder Mongameli Tshuma with an imminent exit from the club.
The Warriors international joined Bosso at the start of the 2026 season and has quickly established himself as one of the team’s standout performers.
His impressive displays have attracted interest from several clubs, with CAPS United president Farai Jere publicly confirming earlier this month that the Harare giants are keen to sign the midfielder.
However, Mwaruwari insists Tshuma remains committed to Highlanders.
“He is a Highlanders player. You will hear the rumours but they are not fact. The fact is that he is here. He is one of us. The rest we will talk about when he leaves but for now he is with us,” Mwaruwari said after Highlanders’ 1-0 Castle Lager Premier Soccer League victory over Scottland FC on Sunday.
The Bosso coach admitted the club would not stand in the player’s way should the right opportunity arise.
“When the right club and the right offer comes we will never stop him. I always talk to him. As a player you wish to go and do well at a new club. I was a player as well. I left here and went to Jomo Cosmos and that was a right move and from there I went to Switzerland. He is one of the most important players. We need to deal with him well.”
