Ngezi Platinum Stars’ FIFA transfer ban has officially been lifted after nearly seven months, clearing the way for the club to register new players.
A source has confirmed that club chairman Arol Mugoni informed the players and supporters of the development on Thursday.
The lifting of the ban means Ngezi Platinum Stars are now free to register new signings, providing a major boost as they look to strengthen their squad for the remainder of the 2026 Castle Lager Premier Soccer League season.
The club had been serving the FIFA-imposed transfer ban after failing to pay outstanding dues owed to former head coach Benjani Mwaruwari and his assistant, Bongani Mafu.
As a result of the ban, Ngezi Platinum Stars were unable to sign any new players at the start of the season. Instead, they were forced to promote players from their junior teams and recall several players from loan to fill the void left by a number of first-team departures during the same transfer window.
With the ban now lifted, the Mhondoro-based side can finally enter the transfer market and strengthen their squad for the remainder of the campaign.
