The South African Football Association (SAFA) has confirmed that the new Bafana Bafana head coach will be unveiled on Saturday, 8 August, bringing an end to the wait for Hugo Broos’ successor.
The coaching vacancy arose after Broos stepped down at the expiry of his contract, ending a successful five-year spell with the South African senior national team.
SAFA president Danny Jordaan announced the unveiling date but did not reveal who will take charge, with several coaches having been linked with the position in recent weeks.
The incoming coach will inherit a side preparing for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers after Bafana Bafana secured qualification for the 2026 FIFA World Cup under Broos.
