Dynamos have missed out on a place in the 2026/27 CAF Confederation Cup despite earning qualification by winning the 2025 Chibuku Super Cup.

The Harare giants were expected to fly Zimbabwe’s flag in Africa’s second-tier inter-club competition, but their name was absent from CAF’s list of participating teams.

The omission means DeMbare will miss the tournament for the second straight season, despite qualifying on the pitch.

Last year, Dynamos withdrew from the Confederation Cup after citing financial constraints, opting not to take up their place in the competition.

While neither CAF nor Dynamos has officially explained this year’s exclusion, reports indicate the club is facing a FIFA matter involving former coach Saul Chaminuka over alleged outstanding payments.

The issue is believed to have affected the club’s eligibility to participate in the competition.
