Highlanders have appointed a new executive committee following the deaths of three senior officials in a tragic road accident last month.
The Bulawayo giants’ Board of Directors and Executive Committee met on 20 August 2026 and, in accordance with Article 7.6 of the club constitution, resolved to co-opt three members into the executive committee until elections scheduled for January 2027.
Morris Mpala has been appointed executive committee vice-chairperson, while Dr Joshua Dube takes over the finance portfolio. Sindani Khumalo has also been co-opted as the executive committee member responsible for marketing.
The club also made portfolio adjustments among the remaining members of the original executive committee.
Kindman Ndlovu has been confirmed as executive committee chairman, with Morgen Dube taking charge of technical development.
The changes come after the untimely deaths of chairman Col (Rtd) Kenneth Mhlophe, vice-chairman Sifiso Siziba and executive committee member responsible for finance Nkani Khoza in a road accident in July.
Ndlovu had previously been serving as the club’s acting chairman following the deaths of the three officials.
