CAPS United and Dynamos played out a 1-1 draw in the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League Matchday 28 encounter at Rufaro Stadium on Saturday.

The match marked Dynamos coach Aristica Cioaba’s first Harare Derby since arriving in Zimbabwe in July.

CAPS United thought they had taken the lead in the first half, but their effort was ruled out for offside as neither side managed to break the deadlock before the interval.

Dynamos eventually opened the scoring in the 57th minute when Wisdom Mtasa found the back of the net.

However, CAPS United responded almost immediately, with Obriel Chirinda restoring parity just four minutes later.

Neither side could find a winning goal as the points were shared.

The result saw Dynamos remain fifth on the PSL log, while CAPS United stayed sixth.

Elsewhere, Hardrock reduced Scottland’s lead at the top of the table to just one point after cruising to a 4-1 victory over TelOne at Chahwanda Stadium.

Sambulo Simelane scored twice, while Donald Mudadi and Last Nyilenda were also on target for Hardrock.

TelOne’s consolation goal came from Evans Katema, while the visitors were reduced to ten men after Nqobizitha Masuku was shown a red card.

At Wadzanayi Stadium, Agama edged Manica Diamonds 1-0, while Triangle United and Highlanders played out a goalless draw.
