The Mighty Warriors started strongly and could have taken the lead as the early in the third minute when a cross from the right hand side from captain Felistas Muzongondi failed to find any takers and just trickled out of play and that was a wakeup call for the visitors who could have stunned the hosts only for their striker to fail to score with only the keeper to beat.

Rutendo Makore put the hosts ahead in the 8th minute after tacking in a rebound from a Majory Nyaumwe shot that the keeper spilled of her legs and the striker duly obliged and that pressure was to bring huge results as in the 13th minute Majory Nyaumwe turned from provider to scorer as she scored a wonderful volley to put the hosts two nil ahead.

The hosts would go onto to take the foot of the peddle for the rest of the half and for the majority of the second half but the visitors failed to make them pay but they got a consolation in the 91st minute after some poor play and she was made to pay but it was too little too late as the Mighty Warriors held on to clinch the match and now they will play Zambia in the final round of the qualifiers.
