In the EPL today Chelsea were beaten by Aston Villa while Man City won against Hull City.
Chelsea suffered a major title chase set back when they were beaten 1-0 by Aston Villa . Chelsea finished the match with nine men and without coach Jose Mourinho who was also sent off.
Chelsea had a goal disallowed before Willian was sent off for a second yellow card and Aston Villa seized the advantage with Fabian Delph scoring with a fancy back-heel.
Things got worse for Chelsea when a two-footed lunge by Ramires on Karim El Ahmadi set tempers flying and Mourinho was sent off for protesting while Ramires was also sent off.
The loss means Manchester City’s earlier win over Hull City reduces the gap between City and Chelseas to 6 points with City having 3 games in hand. Third and fourth placed Arsenal could also get closer to Chelsea with wins tomorrow .
Man City were made to work hard for a 2-0 victory over Hull City. City coming back from their Champions League exit had a nightmare start when captain Vincent Kompany was sent off with only 10 minutes on the clock.
There was relief four minutes later though as they then went in front through David Silva fine goal. Playing with an extra man Hull City had a lot of possession but failed to make it count and Dzeko slotted a second late on to reduce the gap to six points from the top.
