The Zifa elections which are beckoning around the corner are a turning point in Zimbabwe football.

The fact that an able candidate must be elected is one of the imperatives of our success starved nation.

Dr Philip Chiyangwa is the only serious candidate who has made his intentions felt by officially entering the Zifa presidency race.

Where are those former players when it’s election time they disappear from the scene to me they are cowards.

So if Dr Philip Chiyangwa has come up with a manifesto pregnant with football turnaround strategies give him a chance.

Our football legends are scared to take up challenges or to be involved in leadership.

There’s a lot to be done to resuscitate the game of football in Zimbabwe.New brooms do sweep clean.

Dr Philip Chiyangwa has shown some seriousness and proved to be a man of action hence he needs everyone’s support.

He can charm and lure the corporate world back into football sponsorships.

The next Zifa boss should be someone who will be able to compliments the efforts the young and vibrant Minister of Sports Hon Makhosini Hlongwani who has done extremely well since his appointment to the key sports Ministry.

We salute the Hon Minister for a character that changes things and brings sanity where it is long overdue.

We have other key posts up for grabs on the elections day.

George Manyaya can be an excellent board member marketing,Benjani Mwaruwari -Board member Development while he gains experience in football administration ,Twine Phiri- Board member competitions.

Football is now a billion dollar business if we have the right people in place.
