However CAPS United drew level after an impressive Joel Ngodzo set up Equatorial Guinea youth international Tony who beat Reyners with a curving ball.

The goal was just what CAPS United needed as they increased the tempo after and came close through Ngodzo and Tsipa in quick succession after the goal.

Halftime came with CAPS United having the upper hand.

The second half started with CAPS United still on top and threatening. In the 52nd minute Hardlife Zvirekwi had a good chance but his effort was hit straight into the keeper’s hands.

Seven minutes later Tsipa went even close when he was through on goal ,but his effort hit the post allowing Triangle to recover.

With Triangle reduced to defending the resorted to counter attacks and Pascal Manhanga failed to hit the target in the 74th minute with his effort.

Ten minutes from fulltime Triange’s Muyendi failed to capitalise when Jorum Muchambo missed the ball and left an empty net. Muyendi saw his header go just wide.
