Mutuma and Chinyama facing bans

Dynamos strikers Takesure Chinyama and Rodreck Mutuma have been charged for their actions after the Chibuku Super Cup final against Harare City.

Dynamos lost the match 2-1 and both players went towards the referee after the final whistle and had to be restrained by the police and stewards.

Mutuma and Chinyama have been charged the PSL disciplinary committee with breaching of the league’s rules and regulations. In particular order 31 which states that :It is an act of misconduct on the part of the player who directly or indirectly interrupts, obstructs or disturbs the normal proceedings of a game, before, during or after the match.

In addition the orders stats that assaults, threatens, intimidates, coerces, interferes, misleads or insults a match official, player, official of the league, public, Press or media, or any other person, before, during or after the match is an act of misconduct as well.

The players have also been charged with behaving in a manner, which brings the league or any of its sponsors into disrepute or endangers the welfare of the league.

Mutuma and Chinyama are now set to appear before the PSL disciplinary committee who will give  their verdict and appropriate action to be taken.

If found guilty the player risk missing some if not all of Dynamos’ last league games. Earlier in the season Stephen Alimenda was charged and found guilty of violent conduct and subsequently handed a three match ban.
