List of African countries that are through to the final round of World cup qualifiers

The battles for 2018 Russia World Cup qualification will certainly not be an easy one for African countries.

Most of the perceived giants of African Soccer made it through to the final stage and will battle it out for the 5 slots that will represent Africa and the biggest soccer stage.

Zimbabwe was the only African team that did not take part in the qualifying rounds after FIFA banned the Warriors from taking part after failing to pay former coach Valinhos outstanding salaries and allowances.

The 20 African teams in 3rd Round (Group Stage) are:
Gabon, Zambia, Uganda, DR Congo, Morocco, Guinea, Libya, Cameroon, Ghana, Nigeria, Congo, Egypt, South Africa, Ivory Coast, Tunisia, Burkina Faso, Algeria, Cape Verde, Senegal, Mali

The 20 teams will be drawn into five round-robin, home-and-away groups of four teams each. The five group winners will qualify for the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.

Which teams are you backing to represent Africa at the World Cup?
