Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane says he will not take Zimbabwean league champions Chicken Inn slightly as the two teams head to a CAF Champions League showdown.
Chicken Inn were drawn against the South African giants in the preliminary stage of the CAF club competition.
“We certainly don’t take Chicken Inn lightly. Actually, they are a very good side and only last week, they played in another cup semi-final,” Mosimane told Sundowns officisl website.
“They are also the side for which Kuda Mahachi played for, and we are quite familiar with the territory. In addition, we have played pre-season matches in Zimbabwe during our pre-season camps,” he added.
Sundowns is home to Zimbabwean players – Khama Billiat and Cuthbert Malajila. They will also bank on their Manager, Peter Ndlovu’s knowledge of Chicken Inn as well as the region Bulawayo.
The first round fixtures will take place on the weekend of 12th February to 14th February, and the group qualifiers will be determined by the third round in April.
