Amini Soma Phiri and Cosmas Zulu will not be handed the Highlanders coaching jobs on a full-time basis according to Highlanders CEO Gumede.
The two who were appointed on an interim basis have impressed despite a jittery start and clinched the Netone Easycall Cup on Sunday.
They also guided Highlanders to a much better league position finishing in 6th after languishing around the 10th position for a good part of the season.
But despite this and fans calling for them to be handed the posts the Bosso executive is keen on a foreign head coach and have already identified a candidate who could be appointed in the coming days.
Speaking to the Chronicle Gumde said, “Soma Phiri and his technical team are not going to get substantive positions”.
Gumede also said fans need to leave management to make the right decisions saying it would be dangerous to listen to demands to appoint Soma Phiri and Cosmas Zulu.
