Arsenal went top of English Premier League with a 2-0 win over Bournemouth yesterday. The Gunners bounced back to winning ways after suffering a 4-0 loss to Southampton on Saturday.
Mesut Ozil was the hero as he provided an assist for Gabriel to score then added himself on the score sheet for the second goal.
The result puts Arsenal a point above Leicester who are in action today against Manchester City.
At Old Trafford Manchester United and Chelsea played out a goalless draw, a result that was not good enough for either side. Manchester United put in a better display but need David DeGea to keep them in the game while Chelsea’s Matic blew a great chance to put his side ahead when he went one on one with the keeper only to blast over the bar.
Manchester United are now in sixth spot with 30 points while Chelsea are in 14th place with 20 points.
In other matches Tottenham continued with their fine form but needed a late goal to beat Watford 2-1 . Heung-Min Son grabbed the winner in the 89th minute, Erik Lamela had given Spurs the lead but Nigerian international Odion Ighalo equalised with his 14th goal of the season.
