Zimbabwean international Willard Katsande scored as Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates drew 1-1 at the FNB Stadium.
Katsande who was named man of the match opened the scoring in the 28th minute when he controlled the ball and scored following a Tshabalala corner.
The second half saw Chiefs continue to threaten and get the better chances but fail to add to their goal.
Halftime came with Chiefs holding the advantage.
The second half belonged to Orlando Pirates and after intense pressure they equalised through a Thamsanqa Gabuza header in the 71st minute. Kaizer Chiefs keeper Itumeleng Khune was injured while trying to save and had to be replaced.
